Wednesday Family Fun Night

A special time designed to bring families, parents and caregivers, and children together for fun, connection, and meaningful engagement. Each gathering features interaction, activities, games, and discussions that strengthen family bond while promoting communication, teamwork, and shared experiences. Family night is a chance to relax, laugh and grow together. Come and create lasting memories with us.

Adventures in Play

0-6 Years

Adventures in Play is a playgroup that nurtures children’s curiosity about nature through play-based, educator-directed activities centred on spring, plating and growth. Each session encourages hands-on learning through sensory exploration, creativity, and movement while fostering emotional, social, cognitive and physical development.

Books and Bites

0-6 Years

Join us each week to read a new storyboard, learn basic kitchen skills, and connect with other families in the neighbourhood.



The parented program will introduce participants to simple kitchen skills such as scooping and pouring ingredients, measuring, and cutting using wooden child safe knives. Each session, we will read our book and then make and eat a snack themed around the story!

Marvelous Moms

Welcome to Marvelous Moms, a program designed for expecting and new mothers! This supportive space offers a chance to learn about the journey of motherhood, from forming healthy attachments to navigating the challenges of caring for your newborn. Meet with expert professionals like car seat safety specialists, nutritionists, dentists, and more., all dedicated to helping you provide the best care for your little one. Participants will also enjoy self-care pampering sessions, ensuring that you leave feeling rejuvenated and empowered on your motherhood journey.

Kids in the Kitchen

6-12 Years

This NEW 5-week Kids in the Kitchen series focuses on multi-generational learning, where culinary skills meet cultural exchange.


Series 1: Children will learn basic kitchen safety, follow simple recipes, and learn a variety of kitchen skills.

Series 2: Our older, more seasoned chefs will take a deep dive into the science behind baking.

After School Adventures

6-12 Years

Children will have the opportunity to unplug and connect with others while developing important skills including leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and critical thinking. The program includes a variety of activities including crafts, group games, outdoor activities, and STEAM focused learning.

Story Sprouts

0-6 Years

Story sprouts is a fun program that explores early literacy, numeracy and language development. Parents and children will explore early literacy through songs, activities and interactive story sharing. Each week has a different theme, come and discover which is your favourite!

Family Book Club is an engaging program that allows parents and their children to develop and strengthen their literacy, numeracy and language skills through interactive story sharing and weekly activities.

Join Community Connection, a program designed for families and caregivers, offering a supportive space to build relationships, share experiences, and access valuable resources. Through different workshop discussions, networking opportunities, participants can connect with others facing similar challenges, while gaining tools and insights to enhance family life. Together, we strengthen the community and empower each other to thrive.

Circle of Security

Parents & Caregivers

Parents are welcome to attend a condensed version of Circle of Security where they will participate in a group setting that provides a safe, hopeful, and exciting context in which to explore parenting. This reflective program teaches the powerful message, “You are enough.” It helps parents learn to understand and connect with their children through a circle model. While originally designed for children ages 0-6, the Circle of Security approach can benefit parents of children of all ages.

Services

Health for Two

Health for Two is a free program offered by Alberta Health Services for women who need extra support to have a healthy pregnancy. This program provides support throughout pregnancy and up to 2 months postpartum to women who require extra support to have a healthy pregnancy. Services offered include:

 

● Education on pregnancy, birth, baby care and parenting (including pregnancy and parenting options)

● Support and referrals to community supports (such as maternity care, mental health, addictions, housing, food security)

● Resources may include bus tickets, milk coupons and prenatal vitamins.

Milestone Check-in

The Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) are developmental screening tools used to track children’s progress across key milestones, such as communication, motor skills, and problem-solving. These milestone check-ins help identify developmental delays early, ensuring children receive appropriate interventions and support, ensuring healthy development at every stage.

One-On-One Parenting Support

Our Family Navigator and Family Support Worker are dedicated to understanding the unique needs and circumstances of your family. By providing personalized support, the navigator can offer tailored solutions and guidance based on the specific challenges being faced.

Navigating Systems

Whatever challenges you and your family may be facing, the Family Navigator is here to support you to understand what resources may be available for what you are going through. The Family Navigator can work with you on filing out applications, connecting to other organizations’ services or even just understanding the systems that you are navigating.

 

The Family Navigator has open office hours three days a week when you are welcome to drop-in, no appointment necessary. Or you can call/email to set up an appointment outside of drop-in times.
